— Your first visit
How does a visit start?
With a short talk. Your therapist asks how you are feeling, what you are dealing with and what you want from the session, then walks you through it.
“Communication is essential,” as we put it: name the pressure you want and the areas to focus on at the start, and speak up whenever it needs to change. First time? The first massage guide covers what to wear.
— Why people come
What is a massage best for?
Relaxing and easing muscle tension, after a stressful month, a hard week of training or just because.
We’re a massage spa and don’t diagnose or treat conditions. Massage shouldn’t delay a visit to your doctor about a medical problem, as federal health guidance on massage also says.
When should you check with a doctor first?
- Pain that is new, sharp or getting worse: have it looked at first, then book.
- Recent surgery: ask your surgeon when massage is safe for you.
- Pregnancy: check with your obstetrician or midwife, then book a prenatal massage.
— The rooms
What are the rooms like?
Private single rooms with one table each, a couples room with two tables, a facial and head spa room with a wash basin at one end of the table, and a massage chair in the front lounge.
The couples massage runs 60, 90, 120 or 180 minutes, the head spa 45 or 75, and the chair massage 15 or 30. A facial cleanse can join a body massage in one massage and facial booking.
